This piece was produced in collaboration with Leslie Goodwin, who designed and fabricated her interpretation of the original digital cantograph. Leslie is a fifth-generation Californian who has lived in San Francisco since 1998. While primarily known for her dog photography (you can follow her work on IG @sfdogsquad), she is also a mixed-media artist whose creativity and inspirations are drawn from her love of travel and music. She finds ways to connect to the world through textures and vibrations others may look past, bringing them to the forefront for all to enjoy. Leslie received her degree in Film Production with a minor in Photography from the Academy of Art, San Francisco in 2003.

Ari Árelíus is the project of guitarist and songwriter Ari Frank Inguson. Born in Sweden but raised in Iceland, Ari first started making music after buying a guitar at age the age of thirteen. After earning his degree in philosophy from the University of Iceland, he studied guitar at a jazz conservatory in Iceland and draws on that training to produce what he calls “Icelandic desert music.” “Galdrafluga” is the second single from his debut album Hiatus Terræ, in which he combines elements of Icelandic music with sounds sourced from musical traditions from around the world.
