Tappi Tíkarrass is considered to have been Björk’s first serious music project. Formed in 1981 and evolving from her previous band, Exodus, Tappi Tíkarrass blended punk energy with new wave and post-punk elements to become a unique new presence on the Icelandic punk scene. The band split up in 1983 but was reformed in 2015 by the original members, minus Björk. “Iltí Ebni” is a great example of their eclectic sound.
