This piece was produced in collaboration with Anita Beshirs, who designed and fabricated her interpretation of the original digital cantograph. Anita is a self-taught artist residing in San Francisco, CA since 1994. She works in multiple mediums including assemblage, acrylic, woodcutting and photography. Her work has been featured in galleries across the United States and she frequently shows her work in San Francisco. Anita owns and operates KNOWNsf, a local arts curating business that rotates shows in multiple businesses and venues in San Francisco. Eik was an Icelandic progressive rock band active from 1971 to 1978. Their style was predominantly symphonic, with elements of rock, blues, jazz and funk; they released two notable albums showcasing a blend of influences including Yes and Kansas. “Speglun,” a jammy instrumental, is the title track from their first album.
