Masa Gibson is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans acting, directing, writing, composing, and sound design. The title of “Hvar hafa dagar” — the third in Gibson’s Bottlemusick series — comes from the first line of the Icelandic poem “Söknuður” by Jóhann Jónsson; Gibson took selected text from the poem and set it to music. Other than the vocal line (performed by Kathleen Cantrell), everything on the track was played by Gibson on bottles. The Sleeping Artist in the video is played by real-life visual artist and actor Chris Tanner.
